• Age: Vines planted in 1999 (Cabernet Sauvignon) - in 2012 (Malbec).
• Yield: 10.000 kilograms per hectare.

VINTAGE

For this Barrancas Single Vineyard, we harvest our Malbec in the first week of March and by the end of the same month our Cabernet Sauvignon, using state of the art harvesters, putting aside first all the unwanted bunches.

WINE MAKING

• All bunches have been selected and de-stemmed in the vineyard.
• Pre-fermentative maceration at low temperature to preserve primary aromas.
• Alcoholic fermentation with the infusion of selected yeast.
• Maceration time 28 days.
• Alcohol: 13.4%

AGEING

Third use barrels during 18 months to bring out the personality of the Malbec and concrete vats to preserve the character of the Cabernet Sauvignon, integrated in a single blend that reflects the essence of our vineyard in Barrancas.

TASTING NOTES

Intense ruby red, expressive, aromatic to the nose, with outstanding notes of ripe red fruit and flowers combined with the vanilla resulting of its ageing in oak barrels. Its round and soft tannins make it an elegant wine and at the same time full of structure, with a long lasting ending in the mouth with traces of vanilla and caramel that provide a distinctive personality to this wine.

PAIRING

Ideal for hard and semi hard cheese and appetizers of all kinds.Grilled meat and vegetables and the classic pasta with tomato sauce are also fantastic to have fun and enhance this blend full of aroma and great elegance in the mouth. Serve at 15°C.
